Guide

Verify your lemlist leads

Export your campaign leads from lemlist, verify them in SimpleCold, and import the clean list back into your campaign. There is no direct connection yet; this takes a few steps.

Step by step

4 steps from export to import

Follow these in order.

  1. 01

    Export from lemlist

Open the campaign, go to its Leads list, select all leads and choose Export as .CSV.

  2. 02

    Upload to SimpleCold

Upload the CSV under New verification. We find the email column by its header (email, e-mail, email address, emails or mail) and remove duplicate addresses, which are not charged.

  3. 03

    Download and filter the results

Choose Valid only for Deliverable rows, or Full list and filter the Result column to keep Deliverable (and the risky rows you want).

  4. 04

    Import the clean CSV

In your campaign, open the Leads list → Import new leads → CSV import. Map the email column, choose how to handle duplicates, then click Import leads.

Which rows to keep

What to do with each result

Every row has a reason, so you can decide row by row.

Deliverable

Import

Result is Deliverable: the mail server confirmed the mailbox. Safe to send.

Risky

Review

Result is Risky: catch-all domain, role address, throwaway inbox, or a server that would not confirm. Reason says which. Drop throwaway inboxes; keep the rest only if you trust the source.

Undeliverable

Leave out

Result is Undeliverable: the address will bounce. If Suggestion has a fix (a typo), correct it and verify again.

Columns

What the file contains when it comes back

Every original column is kept, with its header exactly as it was. These are added at the end. Map the ones you want in lemlist and skip the rest.

ColumnWhat it holdsIn lemlist
ResultDeliverable, Risky or UndeliverableFilter on it before import; keep as a custom field if you like
ReasonThe plain reason, e.g. The domain accepts mail for any address, so this mailbox can't be confirmed.Optional custom field
Reason codeThe reason code: mailbox_found, accept_all, role_address, disposable, mailbox_not_found…Usually skip
SuggestionA typo fix such as [email protected], else emptyOptional custom field
Retry laterYes when a later check may give a different answer, else NoUsually skip
Domain, Mail server country, Website country, Website languageThe domain, server and site country, site languageUsually skip

lemlist needs a UTF-8 CSV with an email column and recommends headers without spaces. SimpleCold keeps your headers as they were, but its own columns have spaces (Reason code, Retry later): rename the ones you keep (ReasonCode) before importing.
