What it checks

What this tool checks

Three things, every time you run it.

  1. 01

    Finds the record

Reads the TXT record that starts with v=spf1, and flags a domain that has more than one.

  2. 02

    Counts DNS lookups

Follows every include and redirect. More than 10 lookups breaks SPF for receivers.

  3. 03

    Reads the policy

Tells you whether the record ends in -all, ~all, ?all or the unsafe +all.

Results

How to read the result

Every result comes with a plain reason.

Valid record

One SPF record, under 10 lookups, with a clear policy.

Needs attention

The record works but is weak or close to the lookup limit.

Missing or broken

No record, more than one record, or too many lookups.
