Switch
Switch from ZeroBounce in an afternoon
Move your lists, swap the API key and update the code that reads results. Start with 200 free credits.
How to switch
Four steps
Export, compare, swap the API, update your tools.
- 01
Export your lists
Download your results from ZeroBounce. They come as a .zip of CSV files split by status, plus your original file: upload the original.
- 02
Run a side-by-side
Upload one list here (a CSV up to 50 MB with an email column) and compare the results row by row.
- 03
Swap the API
Call GET /api/v1/api-validation/single with your SimpleCold key, and branch on category instead of ZeroBounce's result names.
- 04
Update your tools
Point scripts and automations that called ZeroBounce at our API, or move lists as CSV files.

Result mapping
How results map across
Use category in your logic. Show statusMessage to people.
| SimpleCold category | What it means | |
|---|---|---|
| valid | Deliverable | The mailbox exists. |
| valid with sub_status accept_all | Risky | The domain accepts every address. We report it as catch-all (status accept_all). |
| catch-all | Risky | The domain accepts every address, so the mailbox can't be confirmed. |
| do_not_mail with sub_status disposable | Risky | A throwaway inbox (status disposable). |
| do_not_mail with sub_status role_based | Risky | A shared address like info@ (status role_address). |
| invalid | Undeliverable | Mail will bounce. statusMessage says why: no mailbox, no domain or a syntax error. |
| unknown | Risky | The server didn't confirm. You see Processing while we keep trying; if it never confirms, the result is Risky with status no_response. |
| spamtrap, abuse, do_not_mail (toxic, global_suppression, possible_trap) | No equivalent. We don't run spam-trap or abuse lists, so keep your own suppression list for these. |
ZeroBounce result names are from its documentation, checked 26 Oct 2026. SimpleCold has no Unknown category: an address the server never confirms comes back Risky with status no_response.
